ABOUT JIM
Jim Noble is a nationally known sports play-by-play announcer, voice-over talent, former national talk radio host, and TV anchor/reporter, based in Charlotte, North Carolina
Currently, Jim in in his sixth season as the lead football and basketball TV and radio play-by-play announcer for Wofford College (NCAA Division 1). Jim joined the Wofford team at after more than 20 years of sportscasting on a local, regional and national level. Most recently, Jim was a host on SiriusXM satellite radio, hosting on various channels including ESPN-U College Sports Radio, Rio Olympics Radio and the NASCAR radio channel.
Prior to that, Jim was a TV reporter for NBC, TNT and ESPN’s NASCAR coverage, where he served also as a regular correspondent on “SportsCenter”. He was a regional correspondent for Fox Sports Net’s “Southern Sports Report”, covering the ACC and SEC, as well as the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. Jim got his start in television at local stations in Macon GA, Savannah GA, and Rochester NY before arriving in Charlotte, where he worked for CBS affiliate WBTV.
A native of Needham, MA and a graduate of Washington and Lee University, Jim lives in Charlotte with his wife Elizabeth and son Drew.
